Zeina Barakeh was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1994, she graduated with a BA in Interior Design from the Lebanese American University, Beirut. After many years of teaching art at the American Community School at Beirut, she moved to San Francisco in August 2006 to pursue an MFA degree at the San Francisco Art Institute.
