Growing up in Beirut during times of conflict made me question the birth of political divisions and the possibility of a space outside these divisions. My current work is a combination of figures, drawn larger than life, and animation films. While the cut-out figure installations depict the consequences of conflict, the animation pieces explore the forming of divisions and the defining of an emergent space in which positive change occurs.
